The SNCF USI B10t U61 passenger car from LS Models MW40031 faithfully reproduces a typical second-class USI (Unified Domestic Service) car from the SNCF passenger fleet of Era IV . 609 of these cars were built between 1962 and 1974 to supplement the UIC car fleet and operated for many years on national and regional routes.
USI coaches provided numerous services between major French cities as well as on secondary lines, becoming a very common passenger rolling stock on the SNCF network. Their distinctive silhouette and Y16 bogies make them an iconic piece of rolling stock from this period.
