The USI Bmyfi U61 LS Models MW40028 passenger car faithfully reproduces a second-class SNCF car belonging to the USI (Unifiées de Service Intérieur) series, widely used on the French network during Era III .
Built in over 600 units between 1962 and 1974 , the USI coaches were designed to complement the UIC coaches on numerous passenger routes. For several decades, they provided connections between major cities and conventional lines of the SNCF network.
