The LS Models MW40029 set offers a faithful reproduction of two SNCF USI Bmyfi U61 second-class passenger cars , typical of the French passenger fleet of Era III . These USI (Unified Domestic Service) cars were built in more than 600 examples between 1962 and 1974 to supplement the UIC car fleet on many national and regional routes.
These carriages provided services between major cities and conventional lines of the SNCF network for several decades. Recognizable by their distinctive body and Y16 bogies , they were a very common type of rolling stock in French passenger trains.
The scale models offered by LS Models feature highly detailed reproduction with complete interior fittings and factory-installed LED interior lighting , compatible with analog or digital operation. The cars are equipped with loop couplings with NEM sockets, allowing for easy replacement with other coupling types.
This set includes two USI cars with 1956 markings and independent heating , bearing the numbers:
- USI Bmyfi U61 coach – 2nd class – no. 8.3102 – Y16 bogies
- USI Bmyfi U61 coach – 2nd class – no. 8.3085 – Y16 bogies
