This set reproduces an international car-sleeper train composed of Belgian and French carriages that ran on major European lines during eras IV and V. These trains allowed passengers to travel long distances at night while transporting their vehicle.

SNCF/SNCB Car-Sleeper Train Set – Jouef HJ4207 HO

The Auto-Couchette Train was an iconic railway service allowing passengers to travel long distances overnight while transporting their personal vehicles. Very popular in Europe during Eras IV and V , this type of train connected France, Belgium, and numerous tourist destinations.

These trains consisted of sleeping cars, dining cars and car-carrying cars , allowing passengers to travel comfortably while their car was transported in specialized cars.

The Jouef HJ4207 set faithfully reproduces a typical SNCF/SNCB car-sleeper train of this period, composed of Belgian and French carriages. This train is an excellent choice for recreating the atmosphere of international night trains on an HO scale model railway .
