The SNCF BB 7290 is offered here by Fleischmann in N 1/160 . This 2-rail analog electric locomotive evokes a characteristic machine of the BB 7200 family, recognizable by its so-called "broken nose" silhouette.
This reproduction represents an SNCF machine from era IV . The BB 7290 is presented as a locomotive intended for hauling Talgo III RD trains, with buffers painted red , a detail specific to machines modified for this service.
The Fleischmann 7560078 model features four driven axles with inertia weights and two traction tires . It has a NEM 355 coupler box with close coupling kinematics , finely detailed pantographs , and LED lighting with white and red lights that change according to the direction of travel . An additional lighting function is also available, selectable via a DIP switch.
This locomotive operates on analog DC power on a 2-rail track. It also incorporates a Next18 digital interface ; the decoder is not included.
