The REE Models VB488 coach is an UIC A9 ex-Capitole passenger coach of the SNCF, reproduced at HO 1/87 scale. This first-class coach is offered in a distinctive Ep. IV presentation: a red livery inherited from the Capitole coaches, a yellow band identifying first class, a Corail half-panel, and white doors. It is designed for operation on a miniature railway layout with DC two-rail power supply.

The designation A9 refers to a first-class coach with nine compartments. These coaches belong to the SNCF family of UIC passenger coaches, designed for fast and express services.
