The REE Models VB482 is a HO 1/87 scale reproduction of an SNCF UIC sleeping car B9c9x. This blue high-roof car is finished in WASTEELS decoration, complemented by a Corail half-panel. It represents Era IV rolling stock, particularly suited to building French mainline passenger rakes.

UIC sleeping cars belong to the family of metal passenger cars designed for medium- and long-distance services. Their compartment-based layout, with convertible interiors, allowed daytime travel while providing berths at night. As a result, these cars played an important role in night trains, seasonal reinforcements, and various long-distance services across the SNCF network.

The designation B9c9x refers to a second-class sleeping car. The high roof type is identifiable by its raised roof profile, a distinctive feature of the relevant UIC sleeping car series.
