The Trix 23690 set reproduces a Swiss Express passenger train of the SBB/CFF/FFS in HO scale (1:87) . This set includes 4 faithfully detailed cars: a mixed baggage/1st class car, a restaurant car and two 2nd class cars, in the famous flint grey and blood orange livery of Era IV.
The models feature detailed interior details , factory-installed LED interior lighting , and short, current-conducting couplers ensuring excellent lighting continuity throughout the train. An ideal set to complement a Swiss Express train on your HO scale layout.

Prototype: Four unified passenger cars of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB/CFF/FFS), type EW III. One baggage car (mixed) type AD, 1st class, one dining car type WR, and two center-aisle cars type B, 2nd class. Basic livery of the Swiss Express: flint gray/orange-blue. Train route: Geneva-Lausanne-Bern-Zurich HB. Car numbers: 1, 13, and 14. Dining car unnumbered. Service status from 1975.

Scale model: Completely new construction of the EW III family of coaches. Multicolored interior fittings. All coaches are equipped with integrated LED interior lighting as standard. Each coach has a buffer capacitor to compensate for brief power interruptions. Dining car with illuminated table lamps. One center aisle coach with integrated end-of-train lighting as standard. Equipped with functional current-conducting close couplings. The interior lighting operates in conjunction with the rear coach (equipped with end-of-train lighting), so the prescribed vehicle order must be observed. Type-specific bogies, roof shapes, side walls, and underbody with numerous added details. Buffer height conforms to NEM standards. Separate added ventilators, handrails, control lines, and steps on the bogies. Route plates and order numbers printed on the coaches. Each coach is supplied with two plug-in front doors, which, on the real models, were fitted for inter-car gangways. The last car is also supplied with a simulated automatic coupler. All cars are individually wrapped with outer packaging. Minimum curve radius: 360 mm. Approximate ht length: 113.2 cm.
