Futuristic, bright, and colorful! A modern, multi-purpose station with a curved roof, based on the original built in 2018 in the Sauerland ski resort of Winterberg. The roof design is inspired by the local ski jump and extends across several modules of the entire building. In addition to the floor-to-ceiling glass-enclosed station hall with a DB ticket counter, kiosk, and restrooms, the building houses a citizen services office with a tourist information point, rooms for the adult education center and the district health and youth protection office, as well as a restaurant. For this "citizen station" concept with its wide range of services, the station building received the "Station of the Year" award from the "Allianz pro Schiene" association in 2018 as the most user-friendly station.
