Through the mountain with 4200 kW. PREMIUM model of a "Gripper-TBM" tunnel boring machine with a trailer, casing segments, and a geared motor, based on the model from HERRENKNECHT AG of Schwanau. "Grippers," from which the machine derives its name, allow the tunnel boring machine to be pressed against the tunnel wall using laterally deployable hydraulic cylinders. Hydraulic drive cylinders guide the tunnel's path through pivoting movements and transmit downforce to the drill head. Its rotating cutter wheel breaks up the rock chips, which are then removed by scrapers, channels, and a conveyor. During tunnel boring, the rock is consolidated using various mechanical equipment such as reinforcing mesh and rock anchors, stabilizing steel arches, or the extraction of test boreholes for exploratory purposes. The "Gripper-TBM" trailer contains transport equipment for rock removal, another drilling rig for installing rock anchors, equipment for concrete lining of the tunnel tubes and installation of power supply equipment, as well as various pipes, transformers, pumps, equipment containers, and control units. The trailer also provides the construction materials required by the "Gripper-TBM." The construction kit includes 42 lining segments for the tunnel floor and a geared motor, Art. 180722, for rotating the drill shield. Power supply is 5 V DC. Additional kit: Trailer for the "Gripper-TBM," Art. 130899, with other trailer variants available separately.
This assembly kit contains: 1315 spare parts in 6 colors, window sheet, 1 control motor, 1 decoration and 1 assembly instruction manual.
