232 TC series steam locomotive of the French National Railway Company.

The SNCF acquired 27 T 18 type railcars from the Imperial Alsace-Lorraine Railways. These locomotives had been built between 1915 and 1918 by the Vulcan factories and were based in Strasbourg, Haguenau, Sélestat, Colmar, and Mulhouse. Thanks to their respectable top speed of 100 km/h, their large water tank, and their much-lauded quiet operation, they were primarily used for express suburban services. The last 232 TC was withdrawn from regular SNCF service in 1966.
