In April 2013, the French National Railway Company (SNCF) launched a new TGV product called "OUIGO" [wiˈɡo] . Given the success of these low-cost TGV services, it was decided to apply the same concept to traditional rail connections. The first "OUIGO Classic" services were inaugurated in spring 2022.

Nine BB 22200 series locomotives provide traction for the trains and have been given a bright livery. Second-class Corail coaches are used as rolling stock. As part of the refurbishment, these coaches have been fitted with space for two bicycles at one end.
