Diesel locomotive BB 400 CFC – CFD n°405 – epoch III
REE model reference VM-025S in HOm / HOe scale (1/87 metric / narrow gauge) reproducing the BB 400 diesel locomotive of the Corsican Railway in its original CFD livery .
The real model
The BB 400 diesel locomotives were built from 1962 onwards for the Chemins de fer Départementaux (CFD) company. They operated in particular on the Chemin de fer de Corse (CFC) network to provide passenger and freight trains on the island's meter gauge lines.
The scale model
This REE reproduction represents the BB 405 during Era III . It is equipped with a DCC digital sound decoder reproducing the characteristic sounds of the diesel locomotive.
The model is designed for operation on a 2-rail direct current (DC) network with DCC digital control.
HOe bogies allowing adaptation to 9 mm narrow gauge are available separately on the REE website.
