Enamel Paint 76: Uniform Green - Matte - 14ml Humbrol AA0847

The Humbrol AA0847 No 76 Uniform Green is a solvent-based enamel paint, supplied in a 14 ml metal pot with a matt finish. This Uniform Green shade is suitable for painting static scale models and modelling projects that require a non-gloss, low-reflective look.

Enamel paint is appreciated in modelling for its durable finish once dry, as well as for its ability to be applied in thin coats. The matt finish is particularly well suited to surfaces that should not reflect light, such as many vehicle parts, scenery elements, and figures. The colour used should always be selected according to the kit instructions, the documentation for the subject being reproduced, or the desired effect.

Humbrol Enamel Paint No 76 can be used on many surfaces, including most plastics, wood, glass, ceramic, metal, cardboard, sealed plaster, and sealed hardboard. Testing on a discreet area beforehand helps verify adhesion and the result on the material in question.

It can be applied directly with a brush from the pot. For airbrush use, it can be thinned with a Humbrol enamel paint thinner. The usual thinning ratio indicated is two parts paint to one part thinner. Two thin coats are preferable to one overly heavy coat: they make coverage more even while preserving fine model details.

The matt Humbrol paint is touch-dry in about 20 to 40 minutes and reaches full drying time up to 24 hours, depending on the ambient temperature and humidity. A minimum wait time of 6 hours is recommended before recoating; allowing it to dry overnight is a suitable option before continuing the painting steps. Once dry, the paint becomes permanent.

A 14 ml pot covers approximately 0.3 m², depending on the thickness of the applied coats. Brush cleaning and a complete airbrush rinse are carried out with a Humbrol enamel paint thinner.
