The USI At4 U62 SNCF passenger car offered by Models World faithfully reproduces a first-class carriage from the French passenger fleet during Era IV . This version is presented in the SNCF green livery with a yellow framed logo , typical of the signage adopted by the SNCF from the late 1960s.
USI (Unified Domestic Service) coaches were widely used by the SNCF (French National Railways) to operate passenger trains on many French lines. Designed for robustness and versatility, they ran for several decades in standard train formations. This HO scale (1/87) reproduction accurately captures the overall appearance and technical characteristics of these iconic coaches.
The model is equipped with Y24 bogies and features independent heating , typical elements of passenger rolling stock of this generation. Designed for 2-rail model railways, this model integrates perfectly into an SNCF trainset from Era IV to recreate realistic train operations on a model railway layout.
