Mounting depth for direct cable connection approx. 30 mm, or 50 mm if using connectors.
Turntable length 132 mm; steam locomotives with a wheelbase of 130 mm, including wheel flange (and not "length over buffers"!) can therefore use it (e.g. a Class 44).
