The "Lacroze" tram No. 258 was manufactured by the Porto Tramway Company, Portugal in 1927, based on the "Brill 32" model from the manufacturer JG Brill of Philadelphia (USA).
It was put into service within the Lacroze Company of Buenos Aires between 1907 and 1939.
In 1980, tram number 258 was acquired by the Friends of the Buenos Aires Tram Association (AAT). The AAT restored the magnificent tram, making a few minor exterior modifications, ultimately creating an exact replica of the Lacroze tram from Porto. Since November 15, 1980, it has been operating in the Caballito district of Buenos Aires.
In 2014, the "Lacroze" No. 258 was declared a National Historic Monument.
