The Roger No. 119 is a 4-4-0 type locomotive, also known as American locomotives, built by Rogers Locomotive and Machine Works in Paterson, New Jersey in 1868, with numbers 116, 117, 118 and 120.

No. 119 was parked in Ogden, Utah, when a call came in from Thomas C. Durant, traveling to Promontory, alerting a locomotive in need. A very similar event occurred when Leland Stanford and the Jupiter locomotive were involved.

Durant, vice-president of the Union Pacific Railroad, was travelling in the so-called Durant special for the ceremony at Promontory.
A swollen river had swept away some of the supports of the Devil's Gate Bridge .
The engineer refused to cross the bridge with the locomotive for fear it wouldn't support its weight, but agreed to take the cars across. The bridge held, and the cars crossed successfully. But they were on the other side of the river without the locomotive. He notified Ogden, and locomotive No. 119 was sent for the short trip to the headland, where it joined the Central Pacific 's Jupiter .

The 119 continued as a freight locomotive, being renumbered as 343. In 1903, it was scrapped for $1000.
