The Hornby Rolling Road test bench is designed for use with most 12V DC electric locomotive models. It uses a standard Hornby 12V DC controlled power supply, and is also compatible with the Hornby Live Steam 17V DC power supply.
Measuring 348mm in length, the Rolling Road comes with three pairs of adjustable rollers and a bogie block that adjusts over a range of 85mm. Additional pairs of adjustable rollers (R8212) can be purchased to fit eight or ten coupled locomotive models.
Not suitable for models with two-bogie drive where the wheelbase exceeds 157 mm.
