With the LokSound 5 Nano DCC, ESU has succeeded in developing an even smaller LokSound decoder: at just 19.6 mm x 8.5 mm x 3.2 mm, it's the smallest LokSound decoder we've ever built. Therefore, it should really be used in all N and TT gauge vehicles.
The LokSound 5 Nano DCC decoder is a pure DCC decoder with an open
Cable ends for free-standing wiring. The LokSound 5 Nano DCC is designed for the North American and Australian markets. It is a pure DCC decoder that supports RailComPlus and can also be used on DC layouts. Please note that the LokSound 5 Nano DCC decoder does not include a speaker.
Fashions
The LokSound 5 Nano is a purebred DCC decoder. 14 to 128 driving steps are as straightforward as 2- and 4-digit addresses. Up to 32 functions can be triggered. Thanks to RailComPlus®, the decoders register fully automatically with a suitable digital control center. It is proficient in all DCC programming modes, and thanks to RailCom®, CV values can be read on the main line using appropriate control panels. Auxiliary registers are available for control panels that can only program CVs from 1 to 255.
The LokSound 5 Nano decoder detects Märklin® braking distances as well as ZIMO® HLU/ZACK controls or the Lenz® ABC system. Braking with DCC brake shoes or equal voltage brakes is also possible. Furthermore, it can also stop with a Selectrix® brake diode. An automatic ABC pen train allows for automatic shuttle service between two stations.
The LokSound 5 Nano can be used on analog DC networks.
The decoder switches between operating modes "on the fly" completely automatically. Most of the time, nothing needs to be adjusted.
Her
The LokSound 5 Nano decoder can play up to 12 channels simultaneously. Each channel can be resolved up to 16 bits/31250 kHz, delivering hi-fi quality to your system. There is virtually no difference from the original audio. A Class D audio output with up to 3W of power drives speakers with impedances ranging from 4 to 32 ohms. A 128Mbit sound memory provides ample storage capacity. All individual sounds can be individually adjusted in volume. The highly flexible, unrestricted sound engine allows for exemplary simulation of virtually any railway track.
The functions
Despite its small size, the LokSound 5 Nano features six enhanced function outputs and a logic level output in the form of a solder pad. All essential lighting functions are available, and the brightness of each output can be adjusted independently. The decoder handles automatic on/off switching upon uncoupling for ROCO®, Krois®, and Märklin telex® couplings.
Engine
The LokSound 5 Nano's motor control features a variable PWM clock frequency from 10 kHz to 50 kHz, ensuring ultra-quiet operation, especially for bell-anchored motors – the typical "buzz" is a thing of the past. Load control can be adapted for demanding applications up to 10 HP. The unique "Autotune" function allows the decoder to automatically adjust its settings relative to the motor. The LokSound 5 Nano DCC direct decoder delivers up to 0.75 A of motor power.
protection
Of course, the outputs are protected against overloads. We want you to enjoy your decoder for as long as possible.
